Taipei Port Container Terminal is located in New Taipei City, which is the second major city of business industries after Taipei. There are multiple arterial expressways linking TPCT with the major population centers in the north of Taiwan.
Major industrial zones are located around New Taipei City resulting in greater landside transport advantages for shippers and consignees located in those zones. A further benefit is the port’s close proximity to Tao-Yuan International Airport, Taiwan’s primary air cargo gateway, approximately 27 kilometers to the south, which enables greater opportunities for shippers and consignees to merge sea and air freight into their supply chains.
